Visitors to Green Peter Reservoir:
Please be advised that as of Friday September 25, 2015 we anticipate that the water elevation of Green Peter Reservoir will be too low to safely launch a boat from any of the boat ramps on the Reservoir. The water level of Green Peter will have dropped below the bottom of the ramps at both Thistle and Whitcomb Creek boat ramps rendering them un-usable.
Overnight Boat Parking is only allowed at Whitcomb Creek County Park for a fee of $7 per night. Fee envelopes can be completed and paid at the Whitcomb Creek Campgound.
Winter Ramp: Level 922 to 987 Summer Ramp Levels: 987 to Full Pool
The toe (end of concrete) of the upper Thistle ramp is 983’ and the toe of the lower ramp is 919’
Description: This 9.2 acre boat ramp was initially developed by the Army Corps of Engineers. In January, 1999, the boat ramp was extended to access the reservoir at winter low pool, through a grant for the Oregon State Marine Board and the Oregon Dept. of Fish and Wildlife.
This boater's access is located on the north shore of Green Peter Reservoir approximately 10 miles from the intersection of Highway 20 and Quartzville Road.
*The floating rest room is provided for the water enthusiasts during the months of April through the end of October.
