Thistle Creek County Boat Ramp

Located on the north shore of Green Peter Reservoir

Clean boat ramp providing access to Green Peter Reservoir. Thistle Creek Boat Ramp is open when water levels are above 922'. Winter debris may cause obstacles in the water. Launch at your own risk.

Park Location – Located on the north shore of Green Peter Reservoir approximately 10 miles from the intersection of Highway 20 and Quartzville Road.

Park Usage – Day use open year-round

About the Park

This 9.2 acre boat ramp was initially developed by the Army Corps of Engineers. In January, 1999, the boat ramp was extended to access the reservoir at winter low pool, through a grant for the Oregon State Marine Board and the Oregon Dept. of Fish and Wildlife.

Thistle Creek Boat Ramp:  The toe (bottom) of the upper ramp is at elevation 980’ the toe of the lower ramp is 919’.   When the Green Peter Reservoir elevation drop below elevation 982′-983′  boaters will need to launch from the low pool boat ramp.  The low pool ramp should remain accessible all year.

Boarding Floats are available when reservoir levels allow for their safe operation.

Floating restrooms on Green Peter Reservoir are provided for water enthusiasts during the months of April through the end of October.
